Tween Aerial Arts
Ages 9 - 12
Join year round
Everyone will need to take a minimum of 4 Introduction to Aerial classes before they start at level 1 (even if you prior dance/gymnastics/cheer experience). These introductory classes will allow participants to learn the basics of aerial safety, in addition to finding out what apparatuses they most enjoy. Some students prefer an introductory private lesson individually or with a friend - please contact us directly to inquire.
School Year Program
For those who wish to continue, you can join a membership plan that will save you money and automate your monthly payments. You can also purchase single class visits if you prefer. All participants who join September - May will have a $25.00 annual registration fee (max of $40) per family. Participants will be bulk enrolled into the same class that meets on a weekly basis. Choose the membership plan that works best for you!
Types of Classes & Levels
Introduction to Aerial - Entry Level
Levels 1 & 2 for fabrics and metals
Open Practice Time
Dance; Jazz, Lyrical/Ballet or Musical Theater
Each level and apparatus will have movements students need to complete before advancing to the next level. We will keep track of everyone's progress with skill charts. Although our programs are not competitive, the use of skill charts and the requirements of accomplishing specific moves is so that we can keep children safe. When they are ready to move up, simply contact us so that we can switch them into the appropriate level class. Children are also welcome to change into a different type of class - in other words if they are in fabrics,
they can switch to metals. For detailed descriptions scroll down the page.
As of January 2022, we are requiring all participants and the instructor to wear masks during classes. Each participant will use their own apparatus and have their own safety mat. Due to the spacing of our apparatuses, participants will easily be able to maintain social distancing.
Performing at Aerial Arts is always optional, however for those who would like to explore performing we have 3 opportunities throughout the school year.
December - Holiday Student Showcase for solos, duos. trios
TBD - A Youth/Tween themed production scheduled for mid to late Spring
June - Group performances at our Summer Student Showcase
